Wimmer Wins ATV Motocross Nationals Round 4
4/21/2009Maxxis’ Dustin Wimmer took his third victory of the season at the ATV Motocross Nationals’ Round 4, held April 19 in Danville, Virginia. Wimmer now leads the race for the championship by six points.
Riding Razrs, Wimmer finished first in two of three motos. The crucial victory in the second race was especially hard-won, featuring what ATVmotocross.com called “the best battle of the season…a race few have seen in years.” Riding in a pack behind the two front racers, Wimmer moved ahead of both at once to take the lead and the second-moto victory. "That was a pretty crazy moto," Wimmer told ATVmotocross.com. "The start wasn't too bad. I got up into that first turn, and there was a bunch of bumping. I got hung up a little bit, and a couple of people got around me, but I worked my way up through and caught up to [the lead rider]. My shocks were working great, so I was able to out-power by him over a jump and just stick it."
Maxxis congratulates Dustin Wimmer on his victory and thanks him for choosing Maxxis.
