Vanden Heuvel Wins TORC Round 12 on Razr SCR
9/08/2010Ending his season on a high note, Dan Vanden Heuvel rode Maxxis’ new Razr SCR tires to a Pro 2WD win at the final round of the TORC series. TORC’s Round 12 was held September 5 in Crandon, Wisconsin.
“We knew we could do it, especially once we got the new tire,” said Vanden Heuvel. After some trial and error, Vanden Heuvel and Maxxis’ Creighton King came up with the right cut for the track. “Sunday, I got the holeshot, came around the corner first and nobody ever caught up with me. Even after the restart, nobody got close enough to challenge me for the lead. The Razr SCR steers well; there’s tremendous grip on the steering, and it has good side bite and good forward traction.” Vanden Heuvel finished the season in sixth place in the series’ overall Pro 2WD standings.
