Trek World Riders Win US Open Downhill, Transition’s Kintner 2nd
6/11/2010Riders from the Maxxis-sponsored Trek World team won the men’s and women’s US Open downhill, held May 30 in Vernon, New Jersey. Andrew Neethling and Tracy Moseley both topped the podium. Transition Racing’s Jill Kintner, also sponsored by Maxxis, took second place in the women’s race.
Neethling, who rode High Rollers for the race, finished his run in 2:19.60 minutes. Riding the Minion DHF, Moseley posted a time of 2:40.20 minutes. Neethling was elated by his victory. “My game plan was to be smooth and keep the flow exiting the woods, because after practice in the morning, I realized that being too aggressive in the rock section wasn't going to pay off,” he told cyclingnews.com. “I punched hard to the finish in the open section, and to be honest, I am absolutely over the moon."
Maxxis congratulates Andrew Neethling and Tracy Moseley on their victories and thanks Jill Kintner for her outstanding performance.
