Maxxis Sweeps Podium at GNCC ATV Maxxis General
3/08/2010The Maxxis General lived up to its name, with a sweep of the podium by the company’s riders. Taylor Kiser took the victory, with Bill Ballance in second place and defending champ Chris Borich in third. The Maxxis General was held March 6 in Washington, Georgia.
Maxxis dominated the race from the beginning, with sponsored rider Donald Ockerman grabbing the holeshot. Kiser took the lead around the fourth lap and held it for the rest of the race, with Ballance and Borich hot on his heels. Kiser said his Maxxis tires came through for him just as they always have: "The Razrs were awesome in all the different conditions out there. They held up really well and kept me in front.” Kiser and Borich are tied for the series’ overall lead, with 55 points each.
In the XC2 Pro Am class, Maxxis rider Walker Fowler put together a great race to finish first. Other notable finishes included Donald Ockerman’s tenth place finish in XC1, Traci Cecco’s third place in the Women’s class, and longtime Maxxis rider Mike Penland’s second in the Utility Senior (45+) class.
Maxxis congratulates Taylor Kiser on his victory and thanks all of its riders for their outstanding performances.
