Maxxis Named One of Shanghai GM’s Best Suppliers
1/24/2006For the sixth consecutive year, Maxxis International’s Shanghai plant has been honored by Shanghai General Motors. Named a Best Supplier for 2005, the company received the award at a ceremony in Shanghai in January.
Of the nearly 200 suppliers eligible for this award, only six were chosen. Shanghai GM’s selection criteria included technology, quality, price, delivery, and service.
As an original equipment supplier for several years, Maxxis has a longtime relationship with GM in Asia. GM vehicles in China for which Maxxis supplies tire products include the Buick Regal, Buick GL8, Buick First Land, Buick Excelle, Buick Sail, Chevrolet Sail, Chevrolet Aveo, and Chevrolet Lova.
The Best Supplier Award was established by GM more than two decades ago and became an international award in 1992. The 2005 Best Supplier award is Maxxis’ fifth.
