Bach Takes 2nd Straight GNCC Podium at Unadilla
9/13/2010Taking his second podium in a row, Chris Bach turned in an outstanding performance at the GNCC Unadilla motorcycle race. The series’ Round 10 was held September 12 in New Berlin, New York.
A push toward the end of the race gave Bach third place for the day and his fourth XC1 Pro podium of the season. His Maxxcross SI tires performed for him throughout a challenging day. “My SIs got traction on all the terrain of Unadilla,” said Bach. “From wet, slick rocks to powder dust berms, icy, flat grass track, and the sticky clay of the moto track, I was always hooking up.”
Bach holds fifth place in the series’ XC1 standings. With three rounds remaining, Bach is only five points behind the rider in fourth place and only 19 behind the rider in third.
In XC2 Pro Lites, Jason Thomas took second place and holds second place in the standings. Fellow Maxxis rider Jesse Robinson is in third place for the year.
Maria Forsberg, who has won every race but one this season in the Women’s class, took a ninth victory. With 160 points, Forsberg leads the Women’s overall standings.
