Bach 4th at GNCC Loretta Lynn’s MC

4/27/2010

With a fourth place finish at the GNCC Loretta Lynn’s motorcycle race, Chris Bach roared back into the top three in points for the season.

Bach’s Maxxcross SI tires were the perfect choice for the muddy conditions at Loretta Lynn’s. “My SIs got me a good drive down the start straight, where I got pushed around and came around the turn in mid-pack,” he said.  “After the first turn, there was only about a two-foot wide path of dry, tacky dirt, and that was where everyone was aiming. With confidence in my SI combo, I drifted outside into the sloppy mud and simply went around everyone. Thanks to my Maxxis SIs, I was able to make quick moves right off the start, which got me into the top three before we ever hit the woods. As the race wore on, some sections got better, and some sections got worse, but one thing that never changed was the traction being laid down by my KTM 450XCF.”

Other riders on Maxxis also did well at Loretta Lynn’s. Jesse Robinson took third place in XC2 Pro Lites, with Jason Thomas in fifth place. The two are third and second respectively in XC2 Pro Lites points. Maria Forsberg won her fourth victory of the season in the Women’s class, while Mandi Mastin took second place. Forsberg and Mastin are also first and second in overall Women’s class points.

Maxxis congratulates Chris Bach on his great race and thanks all of its riders for their fine performances.
