Riding freestyle BMX, Coleman can be seen competing in park, vert and/or dirt series. Though rising in the ranks of BMX fame, Coleman tries to keep life as simple as possible by keeping his local events local and his global events global. Good luck in 2012, Austin!

When I was younger, I skateboarded, but one month I sprained my ankle and had a rough time getting around. My older brother gave me his old BMX bike to get around on. Eventually, I started riding it to school and to my skate spots, and BMX just took over. I got a glimpse of the X Games and some of the stuff guys were getting done on bikes, and it has just been a ride from there.

Focusing on one competition. I see the courses, and just want to ride it all; park, vert, dirt, street, mega ramp. I know it would help me to buckle down and just TRAIN for one event, but diversity keep things fresh for me.

Bombing through the streets of Shanghai, China after X Games Asia. I was out street riding with two X Games medals in my backpack and a button-up shirt so that we could hit the clubs in between street spots. That night really put the ridiculousness of my life into perspective.

For me, BMX is like a world free from embarrassing moments. I've been embarrassed plenty of times off the bike, but when I'm on my bike, anything crazy, silly, or potentially embarassing that I do I just seem laugh off.

The Grifter, no joke. It's been my favorite tire of all time. It’s a full freestyle tire, and it's perfect for everything I like to ride. It's also great that Maxxis has been in the game a long time, and is involved in lots of different sports, so that experience really helps them make great products.

Being in South Florida now, there's plenty to keep me occupied; beaches, shows, new people. There's so much to do and see in life; I want to do it all! Downtime? What is that? I guess that's when I'm sleeping? haha

You might catch me tearing up the racquetball courts or tuning up an Audi in the garage. I'll pick up my skateboard every once in a while. And is dancing a sport? I seem to do that a lot.

Jeanette Coleman. My mom is awesome because she never sits still. She's very curious and has to try everything. I can only hope to keep the same zest for life. And I find Donald Trump to be hilarious, if that counts.

So far, anything I've ridden in Germany. Whenever I go for a comp, it always seems to be raining or snowing that week. Sideways. I think I should come out for some of the summer comps.
